Faraday's Electro-Magnetic Induction
Q. What is Electromagnetic induction?
→ When magnetic line of force is cut by insulating wire then electric energy develop in wire. This is called electromagnetic induction. eg. dynamo
Q. Principle of Faraday's electromagnetic induction:
→- If magnetic flux changes to closed circuit then electromagnetic force develop on the circuit.
- Developed electromative force (emf) is directly proportional to rate of change of magnetic flux.
- As long as magnetic flux changes to circuit, so on emf developed in circuit.

Write answer of these quesion using following given picture |
Q. With which principle this process is related?
→ This process is related with Faraday's electromagnetic inducion
Q. When wire is moved up and down, niddle of galvanometer deflected, why?
→ When wire is moved up and down emf developed in wire thereor niddle of galvanometer deflected.
Q. To increases deflection of galvanometer's niddle, what should can be done?
→ - By using powerful magnet.
- By moving wire up and down faster
Q. What happen when galvanometer is replaced with battery?
→ If galvanometer is replaced by battery then motion developed in wire. This is called motor effect of electricity.

Q. On matches box copper wire is rolled and galvanometer is joined with copper wire. What happen when |
Q. Inserting north pole in matches box:
→ Voltage (emf) developed in copper wire and galvanometer niddle deflected.
Q. Magnet is placed rest inside the matches box:
→ Voltage (emf) doesn't developed and galvanometer niddle does not deflected.
Q. Magnet is taken out sied matches box:
→ During taking out magnet from matches box voltage (emf) developed and galvanometer's niddle deflected to opposite side.
Q. Magnet pushing inside or taking outside the matches box:
→ While magnet pushing inside or taking outside the box emf developed and galvanometer's niddle deflected left and right.
Q. Magnet is pushed inside or take outside fastly:
→ When magnet is pushed or take outside fastly, magnitude of voltage developed increased and galvanometer's niddle deflected faslty and with grater magnitude. | |
Q. How bicycle dynamo produce electric energy?
→ Bicycle dynamo produce electric energy in the principle of electromagnetic induction.
Generator or Dynamo
→ An equipment which convert machanical energy to electric energy is called
Generator or Dynamo
Generator or Dynamo works on the principle of Faraday's electromagnetic induction.
Generator is of two types :- (i) AC generator (ii) DC generator
Q. How can increase electricity developed by Generator?
→ By applying following points, electricity can be increased
- By increasing no. of turns in coil
- By increasing speed of rotation of magnet
- By decreasing distance between magnet and coil
- By using powerfull magnet
Q. What is the motor effect of electricity?
→ The process of development of motion in wire when current is passed through wire placed in magnetic field is called motion effect of current. This convert electric energy in machanical energy.
Q. What is the electric motor?
→ An equipment which converts electric energy to mechanical energy is called electric motor. This works on the principle of motor effect.
Q. What happen when electric current is passed into coil of dynamo?
→ When current is passed into coil of dynamo then motion developed and dynamo becomes electric motion.
